Comic book legend Stan Lee

Marvel Comics mastermind Stanley Lieber—a.k.a. Stan Lee—has passed away at the magical age of 95 after being rushed to the hospital on the morning of November 12th. Perhaps best known for creating the character Spider-Man, Stan Lee worked in the business of superheroes for almost 80 years. Beginning in Manhattan and eventually making it to Los Angeles, Mr. Lee worked with another big name in comics like Jack Kirby (one of the creators of Captain America) to produce The Fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk. Mr. Lee contributed massive amounts to the comic book world at large, both in print and eventually on the big screen with hits like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, and, more recently, Black Panther and Venom.

And now that he has, people around the world are pouring out their grief, condolences, and memories of Stan Lee. Celebrities that have taken part in Marvel movies and normal people alike took to social media to remember a titan of the comic book industry. Though Mr. Lee did face criticism throughout his life, the man has nearly become a household name.

  1. It was very sad to see the articles saying that Stan Lee died. I actually googled it and looked at multiple articles before fully believing it. He was a great man that created a world of imagination that will live on. Even if people in the future don’t know Stan Lee they will at least know his work. I always loved looking for him in the Marvel movies, it will be sad not seeing him anymore.

  2. It was hard hear about Stan Lee dying. My brother and I have been following Marvel comics and movies since we were old enough to do so. The work and legacy he has left behind is just tremendous. It’s going to be hard knowing he isn’t around anymore and not seeing his cameos in the movies.

  3. When I fist heard about Stan Lee’s death I wasn’t really sure on what to say. At first I didn’t want to believe it, I still don’t really want to believe he’s gone. He won’t be making anymore cameo’s in Marvel Films like their contract had with him. Unless they honor the contract with a CGI version of Stan, which might happen in the next Deadpool film. Stan Lee will be greatly missed, excelsior.
